360 Video

360-degree videos are recordings where a view in every direction is recorded at the same time, shot using an omnidirectional camera or by stitching together a series of videos. The immersion factor of 360 videos is what makes them quite innovative as it allows users to watch real places to a fuller extent without requiring a bulk of technology. 360 videos are now able to be made right from your own phone! More and more videos are gradually integrating 360 viewing options as time goes by, so the uses are still to be explored further beyond just tourism.

Tech Kits

Tech Kits are part of the walk-in service provided by Innovate Labs. There are three levels of difficulty meant for different users and their experience with the different technologies. Many of the Tech Kits build off each other as you progress.

Beginner

360° Street View

Length: 30 Minutes

Description: 360° street view imagery uses specialized cameras to capture immersive panoramic visuals of real-world environments, allowing users to explore locations as if they were physically present. The GStreet app integrates this technology by enabling users to view and navigate these spherical images on mobile devices. This approach enhances spatial awareness and contextual understanding, making it useful for applications such as virtual tourism, urban planning, and geographic and historical education. Through intuitive controls and interactive features, users can engage with mapped environments in a dynamic and visually rich format.

Creating and Viewing 360° Media

Length: 45 Minutes

Description: 360 media refers to the immersive visual content that captures a full spherical view of a scene, allowing viewers to explore in all directions as if they were physically present. This technology uses specialized cameras or software to stitch together images or videos into a seamless panoramic experience using 360° cameras and VR headsets. It is commonly used in virtual tours, training simulations, and interactive storytelling, offering a more engaging and spatially aware way to present information. By enabling users to look around freely within a digital environment, 360 media enhances understanding and presence in fields such as education, real estate, tourism, and entertainment.

Customizable 360 Videos (IN PROGRESS)

Description: In this tech kit, you will go through editing a 360 Video. In the Movavi software, you will learn how to edit the videos the same way you would a standard video, with filters, music, and simple animations.
