Introducing 3D Scanning with QLONE

Length: 30 Minutes

Description: This tech kit introduces 3D scanning using Qlone, where students scan real-world objects and convert them into digital models. Participants explore augmented reality and learn how 3D scanning is used in design, engineering, and visualization.

Intermediate

Dual-Axis Turntable

Length: 45 Minutes

Description: A dual-axis turntable improves 3D scanning by rotating objects along two axes to capture complete surface data. This method increases scan accuracy and is commonly used in product design, reverse engineering, and digital archiving. It works alongside structured light scanners and processing software to generate precise 3D models.

360° Video

360 Video refers to a category of immersive media created with specialized omnidirectional cameras that capture the full 360 degree environment around the device. It includes the videos themselves, as well as the supporting equipment needed to produce the video, such as stitchin software, playback devices, and multi-lens cameras.

This level is designed for those who are comfortable with the basics and ready to connect multiple concepts to build more advanced, real-world solutions.
